The Museum Guild Bazaar Special Announcement
The Museum Guild Bazaar is always one of the most exciting events for staff and
volunteers. In 2010 we had an additional reason to celebrate. Mary Udelhofen, was
recognized by the Illinois Association of Museums (IAM) for her involvement in the
Museum Guild. Mary was presented with the Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award in
November at the Annual IAM Conference in Naperville.
Mrs. Udelhofen was an original member of the Guild and spends many hours
contributing her time, talents and supplies to create quality pieces for the
Bazaar. In addition she was a longtime volunteer at the museum's front desk and
currently volunteers at her church to create baptismal gowns for the new babies.
Museum Curator Sara Arnas describes Mary as "down to earth and a pleasure to work
with". Museum staff were delighted that Mary was chosen for the award. Thank you to
Mary and all of the Guild Members for their efforts in 2010!
