Music and Lectures Series

The DuPage County Historical Museum is proud to present a series of lectures and musical performances for guests to enjoy throughout the year. Listed below are the specific dates and topics for each event. Come to one or come to all and engage with your local history!

Bopology
Date: Friday, May 4th
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Bopology - Chicago's favorite swing, jazz and Frank Sinatra group who feature the big band sounds of Duke Ellington with the vocal style of the 'Rat Pack'.

Evening includes appetizers and wine or beer beverage.

Cost: Tickets are $38 per person. Museum members $33.

Speaker Betsey Means
Date: Thursday, July 17th 
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

In recognition of the 200th anniversary of the Battle at Fort Dearborn featured speaker Betsey Means will perform WAU-BUN(the early days) a travelogue with Juliette Kinzie. Musical performance to be announced.

Evening includes appetizers and wine or beer beverage.

Cost: Tickets are $38 per person. Museum members $33.



Speaker Terry Lynch as Andrew Jackson
Date: Thursday, September 13th   
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

In recognition of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 featured speaker Terry Lynch will perform Andrew Jackson "Old Hickory. Jackson will regale the audience with as he tells the accounts of his experiences during the war of 1812, his relationship with congress and his time as United States President. Musical performance to be announced.
Evening includes appetizers and wine or beer beverage.
