Schools and Groups

Let the DuPage County Historical Museum provide an unforgettable learning experience for you and your students. The museum staff is happy to customize any tours or programs for local towns and will even design a program based upon your special topic or area of study.


Visit the Museum
A trip to the DuPage County Historical Museum offers a unique perspective on local history. Tour the exhibits and participate in a variety of educational, fun, and interactive programs in a historical setting . Museum programs covering a variety of topics are available year- round for ages 3 and up. Choose from one of the programs listed in our brochure or have us customize a program for you.

Programs vary in length ranging from 30 to 90 minutes in length for a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 25.

Teachers, please note:Our programs meet many Illinois State Learning Standards. We also have activities you can download and use before or after your class has visited the museum.

Teacher packets are available to be picked up at the Museum or may be emailed upon request. This information includes activities for both before and after your visit to the museum.

Let the Museum Visit You
Can't come to the Museum? Let us come to you! These dynamic, one-of-a-kind programs are done right in your classroom or multi-purpose room. Both classroom and assembly style programs are offered to suit your needs. Programs are 45 minutes in length and include artifacts for children to experience as part of the presentation. Fees vary based on group size and program location. Please contact the Museum Educator for more information.

Museum staff is experienced in working with a wide variety of ages and groups with special needs. We look forward to being part of a memorable learning experience for your students.

Scout Programs
Let the DuPage County Historical Museum help your scouting group with badge requirements. We offer one-of-a-kind, hands-on programs suitable for groups of different ages and skill levels.

Many scout programs are available for boys and girls of various levels. Programs range from 35 to 90 minutes.
